Little Free Libraries

Dove Mountain Rotarians Install 2 Little Free Libraries

With the help of a Rotary Foundation Grant through District 5500, Dove Mountain Rotary installed  Little Free Libraries at two Marana elementary schools this spring. One is at Estes Elementary School and one is at Roadrunner School. Club members will keep the libraries stocked with books for the children to take home and read or keep. This is the second year that the club has installed Little Free Libraries to promote childhood literacy.

Dulcie Martin Becomes Paul Harris Fellow

Club Member Dulcie Martin became Dove Mountain Rotary's newest Paul Harris Fellow in recognition of a generous contribution to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. Club President and Past District Governor Joe Hentges presented her with the Paul Harris certificate and pin at a recent club meeting.

Welcome to the Dove Mountain Rotary Club website.  Rotarians are committed to serving our communities, locally and globally.  Being a Rotarian allows us to touch the lives of people we may never see, and whom we may never know.  By working together, we also make our communities – and the world – better places.
 
Locally, we support education, provide vocational and academic scholarships, build Free Little Libraries around our communities, support our homeless veterans, package food for starving children, support temporary housing for disaster areas around the world (Shelter Box), assist local food banks, and so much more.  Being Rotarian results in some of the closest friendships – a special kind of relationship.  Being Rotarian provides new experiences – and satisfaction – in community service.  As a former Rotary International President once said, “Rotary is habit forming – and that’s a good thing.”
 
I invite you to experience the real happiness which comes through opportunities for service to others, and fellowship through teamwork.  Our world – our community – needs Rotary.  Rotary needs you!
